So I'm feeling like a hag, clad in a long, 'mature lady' dress and brogues and nothing going swimmingly for me. Just want to escape this phase of grubby haggery, I wanna actually do something with myself. I'm feeling so hideously adolescent stuck in a little bubble of catharsis. I'm pretty much waiting for biology to understand that I'm secretly a 70 year old man stuck inside the body of a 16 year old angst-bag. .____.

Autumn has fallen(turbopun) upon us and I am most pleased about this change in season, roll on winter when I can bundle myself up in countless scarves and layers. But autumn is good enough to savour, although being a peasant with no money I can do nothing but gasp at shitty quality youtube videos.
Commence (ANOTHER PUN) gasping.

The deconstructed jackets and the androgynous, almost caricatured silhouettes are just breathtaking. Massive clothes envy ensues. srsly.

So my German skills are scattered, and for that I apologise.
but I can now promise more posts as I have a new camera. GET IN THERE. It's a fuji finepix numberletterletterletternumber. Blogspot makes all of my photos really grainy, but when I upload them to photoshop they're too big. ._. This I will work on.
Sorry for the slightly offensive picture, I took it for my artwork which will be finished by the end of the night, I might even be slightly wacky and take a photo of it with the new beast.
Sorry for the complete devoid-ness of outfit posts, my old camera was just too shitty to capture things well, but my new darling can take them easy. So there'll be more of that!

So I'm going into sixth form next week; looking forward to the possibility of making some new friends and never having to wear the obligatory polyester nasties ever again. Up until then I'm trying to do as much art-doing and clothes-making as I can possibly... do. :D

So I feel like I've slapped my intentions of starting a wonderfully active blog right in the face, but I will continue to try.
I have a lot of things to show today, but no battery on my camera, so there will be a bigger, meatier post this evening where we shall feast on the slightly feeble fruits of my productivity. (Including a liberty print cage skirt, a cake badge and a fruitella wrapper bracelet)
I forgot to mention in my last post that I am also heavilly into art, and I'm planning on posting art every week on a friday(perhaps I'll call it... ART FRIDAY! I am unexperienced with words... I shall enlist help), and bringing some shallow into the equation by doing outfits inspired by said arts. But I think I may skip the outfit today.

This is a clay animation by David Firth, who many people will be aware of already as the creator of www.fat-pie.com, and more virally the wonderfully melancholy 'Salad Fingers'. Those more in tune with the real world than the more morose sectors of the internet will perhaps have seen his work on Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe where he was asked to create some cartoons loosely related to television.
This clay animation is very beautiful in my opinion, though judging my disturbing taste in everything most people may find it plain disgusting. But I think it's beautiful.
So, just a quick disclaimer here, if you are easilly disturbed or unsettled I'd probably give it a miss.
But here it is!

I am finally pushing this blog in a more sensible direction. Or at least bothering with it. I swear.

FIRST DAILY OUTFIT POST!
I feel as if we are making progress!

Shoes; Doc Martens, Tights; New Look, Skirt; Vintage, Belt; Praaaamark, T-shirt; H&M, Scarf; In Vienna.

Today was a lazy dressed day, not too much fuss. This tends to be my go-to outfit.

I am considering this as the starting point for my whole blog, as I tended to be a bit slap-dash with my posting before-hand.

To me, style is the medium in which I express my inner chaos, the icing on the rather lumpy and unpalatable cake which is me. I am constantly striving to develop my style through different inspirations and experiments, some bad, some good, but all happy.

I have decided to channel my personal style through this blog, whether it be clothing, makeup or DIY projects.

And I'm only just getting started.

Sorry about the lack of posts, I'm having a not too chipper time right now and I've been struggling to find the energy to do anything, but no more! I am seizing control and using my grrrl power (hahaha) to the best of my ability. I have lots of projects on the go which are very exciting which include;

MORE youtube videos and blogs of course!
Street style posts, even better when I get my new camera!
I am launching my own baby fashion line(very very tiny indie line, probably just for showcase because I have lots of other plans to keep on top of, but I intend to be making a full-blown collection at home to add to my port-folio... Uni's a'comin, and I need to get into one XD)
Me and one of my very dearest friends, known on this here internet as iKo have been starting our own accessories line on 'tinternet called 'Frilly Biscuit', specialising in cute and kitsch jewellry which is good enough to eat :D All the stuff should be up soon, but we're both very busy with things like moving and heartbreak. But this is definitely going to be up in a week or two!

The most important thing I've learned recently is that when you're going through bad times, and you feel weighed down by negativity which seems to engulf your life, just shake it off and be the best person you can be, time's not here for wasting, and if you pick up your feet and dance then the terrible won't seem so bad!

ALSO! Saving up for Vivienne Westwood shoes, at the tender age of 16 this is most difficult, but we'll see :D

My most shameful makeup moments!

I've been playing with makeup for many years, but I started I was much younger; the epitome of awkward pre-teen, stuck with the nickname 'Puppet' from my 'interesting' metal band. I love to look back at makeup I used to do when I was this awkward 13 year old, because it's so interesting how my personal style and skills have grown and developed over the years.
For fun, I thought I'd share this :D

This was a classic year nine Libby, when I used to use stargazer pressed powders with water on a paintbrush and paint really crazy designs with them. I also used pritt-stick to adhere false gems onto my face.

Now this one, with a bit of skill I think would look rather sweet. I've still not quite grown out of my phase of face painting but I keep it to inside nowadays :D A few months from here i would discover mascara.

This one I find quite hilarious, me and my best friend one night a few years ago wanted to see what we'd look like with no eyebrows, so we did this!

An early 12 year old here, I had a stupid obsession with drawing dots everywhere on my face! this was before jewels and stickers!

Going through the rainbow, let's start with red :D/FOTD

For a fun project I have decided to do wearable looks using brights going through the rainbow, so I started with red! ^_^

The battery was low on my camera so I couldn't make a tutorial, but I shall write out how I acheived this look for now! <3

Naturally, I opted for an old school Hollywood glamour/Pin-up look!

I started out with a moisturiser to ensure my foundation went on smoothly then applied my concealer underneath my eyes (MAC studio Fix). At a MAC counter I was told never ever to do this, but I think it makes for an even, smoother finish in the end. I also applied it down my nose as a highlight.

I took my foundation (Also MAC studio Fix) and applied it quite liberally over my face and blended into my neck. I used a buffer brush to create a smooth, matte complexion.

Very lightly with a small brush I used a blusher underneath my cheekbones and blended it in. A good way to find where to contour is to suck in your cheeks, this will highlight your cheekbones; especially if you're baby-faced like me.

I applied an extremely thin amount of vaseline over my eyebrows, just a tiny film which would anchor the powder for the precise, defined eyebrows of this look.
Using a thin, angled brush(from the body shop, it's a nice firm brush which is ideal for precise, sharp brows), I took a dark brown pop eyeshadow and painted over my pale blonde eyebrows in a defined but believeable shape. I finished this off with a clear brow gel.

I applied a neutral base to my eyelid and added a skin coloured shimmery eyeshadow over my whole lid and used a slightly darker eyeshadow in the crease of my socket, to add a tiny bit more definition, this look doesn't need a whole lot of eyeshadow but it's fun to apply :D

At this point I applied lipbalm to prepare my lips for the lipstick later.

I then took a black liquid liner and drew my usual line across my lid, adding a flick at the outer corners. If black liquid eyeliner usually ends up messy i would use a gel liner instead, as it is possible to obtain more control.
I then added mascara :D

FOR THE LIPS :D

I applied an extremely thin layer of foundation over my lips for a base and lined my lips with Illamasqua 'spell' pencil. I then, very carefully so as not to smudge it, playboy(ugh, I know, but its good stuff) lipgloss in 'red manhattan'.
I used a gloss because it was very pigmented and gave a really nice plushy appearance, and is easier to wear through the daytime as it doesnt feel as heavy as a lipstick and gloss. A good option for pigmented lipglosses is illamsqua's intense lipglosses, although I have not tried them I have heard they are as pigmented as a lipstick.

Sorry about the lack of pictures in the tutorial, but tomorrow I have an orange and purple glittery youtube tutorial to upload to make up for it :D

Orthodox Celts, Nice, honest, music which takes me back to my fizzy happy childhood. Not to most peoples' tastes but it really sparks a light in me ^_^

Fake eyelashes and my newfound ability to apply them, when did that happen? My lashes of choice are stargazers, which are big and curly, and not too hideous for what they are.

Nail Varnish - Tough going for me as I actually have a nail phobia, so the actual painting is a bit difficult for me, but having nice nails is almost unfeesably better!

Lovely days in with the boy eating plastic-y food, it's such a nice anti-climax from the harshness of exams, I need some lush products to ease my stress!

Collection 2000 fast stroke liner - What happened?! You've changed, it's not the same! You used to be so good! My go-to eyeliner for 4 years has finally disappointed me. :/

Lack of money, there are about a thousand things over ten pounds I would like, but I just can't tear myself away from the necessity of buying things no higher than 5 pounds... Grrr

Shopping for holiday. I'd rather be shopping ON holiday! It will be worth it.

Britains got talent! I had no idea it ended this week! But I am so happy that Diversity won... If Susan Boyle was pretty she would be considered really pooor!
